MOVIE NIGHT THE SECOND

WELCOME TO THE GRASS-ROOTS EDITION OF SFS: THE MOVIE NIGHT. The theme this week is Sci-Fi classics that have been recently remade. (Lame theme I know... so sue me the movies rock).

Next movie night is Friday October 2nd, 2009.

********IMPORTANT NOTICE*********

As of Monday, September 26th there will be a suggestion box in the SFS for future movie nights just keep in mind that movie combinations must be shorter than 4 hours, preferably aim for 3 as bookings only last 5. ALSO movie combinations must have a theme (we're not too picky... as long as you can explain it to us in WHATEVER FASHION MAKES "SENSE" to... at least one of us?... we'll take the themes as they come...)

Movie Combo Examples:
LONG MOVIE + TV SHOW EP
SHORT MOVIE (90 min) X 2

As a rule we will alternate Sci-Fi and Fantasy, so keep in mind when giving suggestions.

DEATH RACE 2000

(To mis-quote our illustrious president "Set in the future! Of nine years ago!" This movie is possibly the greatest the greatest thing we have watched all year slash that you will see, ever. And I don't mean "it's the best because it's worse than "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" sort of way... Death Race 2000 would eat Santa Claus, parbrake him out, and then run him over with a semi... that has teeth... and a shark fin. Mars would then implode from the effects of prolonged exposure to awesomeness.)

MOVE NIGHT XII (second last of the season!!!)

Hi all,

This Friday is our second to last movie night of the year :( ! We're gonna have one this week, and another next week, because it's the last week of school. It's a busy time of year but hopefully people can make both. In any case, both weeks are gonna be EPIC. This week's movies are brought to you by popular request (so you KNOW they're good) and next week... well... next week is just plain tradition. ;D.

WELL Heloooooo friends! It's that time of year again... that blissful first week of term when you STILL HAVE A LIFE... SOoooo to celebrate the deluded sense of post-holiday freedom we will be having a post-Christmas, Christmas movie night!
